Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul, District is seeking interested and capable sources for the Lock and Dam 1 (LD1) Scour project.� The project is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota (Hennepin County).� Using USACE supplied plans and specifications, the contractor will accomplish the following summary Scope of Work: The Contractor shall furnish and install riprap scour protection immediately downstream of the Ambursen dam located in the Mississippi River at LD1.� Work includes removing existing riprap, grouted riprap, and excess material required for riprap and bedding placement, debris removal, delivering riprap and bedding to the project site over water by barge, placing riprap and bedding over an approximate 560 foot length immediately downstream of the concrete apron.� Existing rip rap, upon removal, will be used to fill scour holes downstream that could affect the stability of the structure.� Any additional excavated material will be removed from the site. Our intent is to issue a competitive solicitation in approximately March of 2020 for the award of one firm-fixed-price contract.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990; Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a small business size standard of $39.5M.� ���� The estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000; the contract will require 100% performance and payment bonds.� Information submitted in response to this notice will be used in determining whether this acquisition, once issued, is set-aside for small business concerns or solicited as an unrestricted procurement (full and open competition) under the aforementioned NAICS.
