- Description
- This is a Request for information (RFI) for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst NJ (NAWCADLKE) requires Laser Trackers. The Laser Tracker will be a completely self-contained unit, with the laser controller being fully integrated within the laser head; this being only one major component to this system. The Laser Trackers shall have full compatability with all current V-22 Aircraft Directed Infrared Countermeasures (DIRCM) and jointly with H-53 DIRCM requirements, which have tooling already in place. The Laser Tracker should be able to be mounted at any angle/orientation, which significantly increases positioning of the tracker for difficult locations. These features required of the Laser Tracker are extremely crucial due to multiple variations that are often present during maintenance tasks; and, the laser tracker should not be limited to only one set-up option. The Laser Tracker will be capable of performing dynamic measurementsand should be able to take multiple measurements (scanning) while the reflector is moving across a surface to ensure that the position and form tolerances are held within compliance. NAWCADLKE is seeking information for industry regarding Laser Trackers. Please provide the following information about your company's Laser Tracker. General description Identification of critical requirements Overview ofconcept of operation Discuss critical information required foruse Provide any additional informationdesired General Guidelines Theinformation package should not exceed 10 pages. Any operation manual provided shall not be counted against this page limit. Responses to this RFI should be submitted tono later than 10 days from the date of this posting.
