- Description
- The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Directorate of Procurement, on behalf of USSOCOM Program Executive Office-Fixed Wing (PEO-FW), will be conducting an Industry Day event for Armed Overwatch. Armed Overwatch will provide Special Operations Forces (SOF) deployable and sustainable manned aircraft systems fulfilling Close Air Support (CAS), Precision Strike, and SOF Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) in austere and permissive environments.� USSOCOM will conduct a briefing to industry in support of the Armed Overwatch program. This Industry Day will occur on 4 � 5 March 2020 at Pinewood located at 6701 South Dale Hwy Tampa, Florida 33611. The tentative schedule is as follows: 4 March 2020 (tentative schedule): 1230 -1255 Eastern Standard Time (EST): Sign-In 1300 - 1500: Informational Session (Gov�t Brief) 1500 -1700: General Q&A Session 5 March 2020 0900-0930 Sign in 0945-1200 One-on-One Sessions 1100-1330: Lunch 1345-End of Day: One-on-One Sessions Attendance at Industry Day is required for submissions to the USSOCOM Armed Overwatch Other Transaction Authority (OTA) prototype demonstration formal announcement. Industry Day:� The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide an overview of the upcoming OTA prototype demonstration requirement and to answer any questions industry might have regarding the request for white papers and structure of the phased OTA evaluation.� The draft OTA is planned for release on 14 February 2020.� This Industry event will be an informative meeting for vendors that are capable of meeting the current requirements and future needs of SOF Operators for the Armed Overwatch aircraft platform.� These sessions are to enable USSOCOM to incorporate industry feedback into the final OTA release and demonstration, communicate program requirements and schedule, and gain a better understanding of recent industry developments and pricing. Schedule:� Industry Day will be dedicated to an information briefing, Q&A session, and one-on-one vendor/Government meetings. The one-on-one meetings are limited to contractors whose intent is to submit a proposal as a prime contractor.� These meetings will be limited to one (1) hour sessions with the goal of discussing the vendor�s current capabilities in regard to fulfilling the Armed Overwatch requirements. Contractors who do not intend to submit a white paper or demonstrate a system may still attend the Industry Day information briefing and general Q&A session.� If desired, please request a one-on-one meeting on your registration form.� Armed Overwatch Industry Day participants must register to the points of contacts listed below by completing the registration form (Attachment 1) no later than 12:00 Noon EST 18 February 2020. Please note that attendance information will not be available to the public.� Notional Requirements: The aircraft system procured as a result of this action will support the following missions of Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC): CAS, Armed Reconnaissance, Strike Coordination & Reconnaissance, and Airborne Forward Air Control. This prototype initiative is to demonstrate an Armed Overwatch prototype. The follow-on contract is expected to be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a base 5-year ordering period and 2-year option ordering period and an estimated quantity of 75 aircraft with associated support. In accordance with 10 U. S. Code, Section 2371b(f) the OT may result in the further award of a follow-on production contract without additional competition based on successful prototype completion. This special notice is not a Request for Proposal nor does it create an obligation on the part of the Government. No entitlement to payment will arise as a result of the submission of contractor information. USSOCOM will continue to post information to beta.sam.gov as it becomes available.
