Description
The U.S. General Services Administration, Great Lakes Region, is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement for the renovation of office space at an occupied facility to determine the interest, availability, and capability of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, and Small Business concerns as described below. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The work will take place at 536 South Clark Street, Chicago, IL. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Construction is currently estimated to take approximately 180 calendar days. The work involves approximately 15,943 usf and includes demolition of existing conditions to construct various offices, conference rooms, breakroom, mail room, and IT closet. Provide all new infrastructure, cabling/Tele-Data, security, and finishes. Above ceiling work consists of ceiling, lighting, lighting controls, HVAC, and sprinkler. Fire Alarm is new but modifications may be needed per design. Demolition will include removal of old fire alarm system. It is anticipated the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted to Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) on or about March 9, 2020. The awardee will be required to undergo the security clearance process. The full extent of the work will be described in the solicitation when it is posted. No other information will be available before the solicitation is posted. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, or Small Businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package to include: Business classification (i.e. SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc.) Examples of three projects: (i) completed within the last five years (ii) that included the work specified above that will be required under this project, (iii) that included renovation of a office space, (iv) that the respondent performed at least 15% of the work with its own organization under the contract, and (v) that had a total project cost in the same range estimated for this project.
