- The United States Military Academy (USMA), Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership will host an Immersive Technology Industry Day, an opportunity for interested contractors to conduct real-time demonstrations of hardware and software integration of immersive tech capabilities that can be leveraged in a learning environment. The event will be held 12 -14 February 2020, sessions will begin at 0900 on the 12th.� Preregistration is required. Summary Description Of Requirement: The United States Military Academy requires a digital, immersive, training platform to increase awareness, provide a call to action, and to educate Academy Cadets SA/SH. The immersive training platform should be progressive that first raises awareness, decreases psychological distancing of some users, provides a reflective experience, utilizes immersive, tech and gamification, and provides user the opportunity to own a call for action. The training platform must remain low-threat, actively engaging, provide user feedback, receive user feedback on the experience, be tailorable, and provide click through analytics that can be used to shape future training.� Who: ��The Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at the United States Military Academy host an industry day to engage with firms on immersive tech. capabilities. What: Participating firms will have one hour to demonstrate immersive tech (Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Data Visualization, and Gaming) capabilities. Specifically, participating firms should be able to provide real-time demonstrations of hardware and software integration of immersive tech capabilities that can be leveraged in a learning environment. When: 12-14 February 2020 Where: 758 Cullum Road, West Point NY 10996 (Jefferson Hall-West Point Library) Why: �The purpose of the industry is to inform Behavioral Science and Leadership (BS&L) market research in the use of immersive tech as an engagement and education platform. �BS&L is interested in identifying vendor capabilities for a potential project using immersive tech in the education space. Participants will have an opportunity to engage USMA, BS&L program staff during the Industry Day in advance of the actual RFP release.� There will be no general conference.� One-on-one meetings will be held during the dates of this event.� All registered contractors will be afford the same length (1 hour) of time for their sample presentation during the course of this event.� USMA, BS&L will provide information and answers to the best of its ability at this time; however, everything discussed during Industry Day by the Government is notional and is NOT to be considered binding.� Everything presented is subject to change or cancellation.� The Industry Day is not a request for proposals; this is market research and early engagement of the industry.� The Government will not hear proposals from industry during this event.� The briefings provided by the Government and the answers to any questions given during the briefings will be made available to all potential vendors following this Industry Day.� Industry Day Registration/Coordinating Instruction: � To attend the BS&L Immersive Tech Industry Day, attendees must RSVP NLT 1200 EST Monday 11 February 2020. To RSVP, participating firms must submit a by name list of all representatives who will participate in the industry day and submit a completed Vendor Demonstration Agreement Form (date and time of one on one will be provided by POC).� These should be sent to the both POC listed below, by delivery/read receipt email, before the RSVP deadline to ensure access to the installation is granted. Each attendee�s in the RSVP must have a Government issued photo ID which matches their full name as listed on the RSVP to gain access.� Any vehicle must be properly registered; attendees are encouraged to limit the number of vehicles because of parking restrictions.� Parking directions will be given at the time of confirmation of registration. �Registration requests after the deadline, to include walk-ins on the day of the conference, may be refused at the Government�s discretion.� NOTE: Participating firms need to have a wireless access point or hot spot. � Points of Contact for Industry day are: � CPT Bryan Williams at bryan.williams@westpoint.edu .
