- Description

The contractor shall provide all services including labor, materials, equipment, facilities, and travel necessary to fulfill requirements. These panels shall replace the current tactile exhibits installed throughout the Florida areas of the park. As such, all panels produced through this project must meet NPS Uniguide standards for installation within NPS Uniguide produced frames. The material should be a cast resin or approved equal. ATTACHMENTS: Atch 1: SCOPE OF WORK Atch 2: IMAGES (of each current tactile wayside exhibit panel). Also available in TIF format upon request. Wayside exhibits are large-format outdoor sign-like exhibits that the National Park Service employs either to orient visitors arriving to a new location, or to reveal the stories hidden in the view. These panels combine photographs, artwork, diagrams or maps, and texts that are written to be easy to read aloud. The goal is both to describe the landscape and to reveal the significance of an outdoor place being preserved as part of the National Park System. Selected wayside exhibits shall incorporate tactile elements like models, texture blocks, and relief maps using raised lines, base relief, or three dimensional. Wayside exhibit panels shall communicate visually and will rely heavily on graphics to interpret park resources. Basis of award: price and non-price factors. Comparative evaluation will be used as the source selection procedure; refer to solicitation Section M for more details.
