Description

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, on behalf of The Multinational Aviation Special Project Office (MASPO), for information and planning purposes only. MASPO is conducting market research seeking potential sources, including small business (SB), 8(a), HUBZone, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small businesses, that can satisfy the requirement and identify potential sources that are capable of procuring and delivering MD-500E Aircraft spare parts to the El Salvadoran Air Force.� Firms responding shall specify that their products meet the specifications provided below and provide detailed information to show clear technical compliance.� THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION for proposals and no contract shall be awarded from this RFI. Any information provided by industry to the Government in response to this market survey is strictly voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any cost incurred associated with providing information in response to this RFI or any follow up information requests. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is code 336413. The Government is seeking sources to procure and deliver MD-500E items listed in attachment 0001. Interested sources need to demonstrate the technical capability, corporate knowledge and experience in providing all hardware, facilities, equipment, technical expertise , planning and management to include incidental services to produce and ship the MD- 500E aircraft spare parts. The MD-500E Aviation spare parts will be delivered to an interior location within the Republic of Mali (Africa). The contractor will be required to support inventory at its facility prior to ��shipment. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for the coordination and execution of the shipment of the spare parts to the destination. The Contractor will be responsible for payment of value added taxes (VAT) assessed� by the Republic of Mali at destination. There is no waiver for the VAT. A minimum of a working knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airworthiness, DoD Critical Safety Item (CSI) Program and the Army Aviation Airworthiness Release (AWR) processes are required. The MD-500E Aviation spare parts must be New, New Surplus, Overhauled, or Rebuilt and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified. Proof of qualification should be addressed in the response. Interested parties who have the capability to perform the above effort and have facilities involved in the ordering and/or receipt of commercial items under this requirement should respond to this notice and identify business size and socio� economic status as applicable. Interested businesses should submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than ten 8.5 X 11 inch pages, font no smaller than 10 point) demonstrating the ability to provide the products listed in attachment 0001. Documentation should be in bullet format. No phone or email solicitation with regards to the status of the Request for Proposal will be accepted prior to its release.
