Description
The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist by ascertaining if this effort can be successfully competed and/or a total Small Business setaside.� The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339113 ? Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing with a corresponding size standard of 750 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all large and small businesses to include 8(a), Service?Disabled Veteran?Owned, HubZone, and Women?Owned small business concerns. The Regional Health Contracting Office ? Central, JBSA, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking potential sources to provide a NuVasive Precice Stryde Nail System, (designed for Orthopedic surgical treatment for adult long bone abnormalities and acute/chronic pathologies for patients of the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), JBSA ? Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The following points represent the Government�s requirements for the Precice Stryde Nail System implants: System should allow the patient and surgeon to provide customized and precise adjustments until the correct length is achieved allowing patient to make their own adjustments at home in the most minimal invasive manner possible. The Precice Stryde Nail System implant and any instrumentation shall be available 48 hours prior to surgical procedure. A. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The requirements for the Precice Stryde Nail System are: 1. Offered Products must be ? FDA and TAA compliant. Must be able to provide Orthopedic treatment for adult long bone abnormalities and acute/chronic pathologies. ?Must provide a minimally invasive solution to bone lengthening that will allow the patient the ability to make adjustments from the home setting via an external remote control. ?Must use magnetic technology with up to 80mm distraction. ?Must provide a nail that can be reversed. ?Must provide a customizable lengthening protocol. ?Must provide a portable hand held unit that can precisely lengthen and shorten the intramedullary nail with a touch of the button. 2. This is not a solicitation. This information is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Vendors responding to this sources sought notice are advised their response does not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expense associated with preparation or participation in this research.
