Description

The USDA Forest Service anticipates soliciting a new five year contract for National Type 2 Initial Attack (IA) Fire Crews in late spring, early summer 2020. The requirement is to obtain Type 2-IA Crews at various field locations during wildland fire and other all-hazard incidents in the contiguous western United States. The current contracts do not expire until December 31, 2020 and will remain in effect until that time. The intent of this special notice is to get the draft Request for Proposal (RFP) out to industry for review and comment. All information contained within this notice is in a draft form and is subject to change prior to the solicitation being posted for this requirement. Please submit all questions/comments in writing to bryce.pitchford@usda.gov by the closing date of this notice. Responses to questions received in writing to the above email address will be posted to beta.SAM.gov after the closing date of this notice. The Government intends to use this information to potentially change or clarify the RFP as deemed necessary.
