Description
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Directorate of Procurement intends to extend the period of performance of� existing Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract H92222-15-D-0004 with John Hopkins University/Applied Physics Lab (JHU/APL) by five additional years from 26 February 2020 to 26 February 2025 on an other than full and open competition basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304c(3) and FAR 6.302-3, Industrial Mobilization; Engineering, Developmental, or Research Capability; or Expert Services. There would be no change in the existing contract ceiling of $405,000,000.00 as a result of this proposed contract action. The original Sources Sought synopsis in support of Solicitation H92222-14-R-0027 for the existing USSOCOM JHU/APL contract, was posted to Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) on 16 December 2014. No responses were received, and contract H92222-15-D-0004 was issued with a $405,000,000.00 contract ceiling and a five year ordering period of 27 February 2015 to 26 February 2020.�� USSOCOM continues to have requirements to establish and/or maintain an essential capability for (i) theoretical analyses, exploratory studies, and/or experiments in various fields of science and technology; and (ii) engineering and/or developmental work for the practical application of investigative findings and theories of a scientific or technical nature, to include production in limited quantities not to compete with the private sector.� The IDIQ will continue to include support in the following areas: (1) Strategic Systems Test and Evaluation,� (2) Submarine Security and Survivability, (3) Space Science and Engineering,� (4) Combat System and Guided Missiles,� (5) Theater Air Defense and Power Projection,� (6) Information Technology (C4ISR/IO),� (7) Simulation, Modeling, and Operations Analysis, and (8) Mission-Related R&D.�
