Description

Notice of Intent to Solicit from a Single Source FAR Part 13 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: This notification is to announce that the Regional Contracting Office (RCO) MCIWEST intends to issue a single source contract modification to Excalibur Laundries INC, Contract No. M00681-14-D-0004 to extend the last date for order delivery under Clause 52.216-21 from January 25, 2020 to February 29, 2020.� This will correct the date identified in the contract clause and allow the government to issue a task order for an additional 3 months of services. The applicable NAICS code 532210�- Consumer electronics and appliances rental with a size standard of $35.5 Million. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS OR PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source task order to continue an existing lease of 190 industrial washers and dryers aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot/Western Recruiting Region, San Diego (MCRD San Diego).� Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem that there is only one source reasonably available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes or competitive proposals.� However, any proposals received by February 10, 2020, 08:00 A.M. PST will be considered by the Government.� If the Government does not receive an acceptable response to this announcement by the afore mentioned date, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), the contract will be modified, and a task order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Any information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for enhancing competition in a future competitive procurement. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Inquiries or concerns must be addressed in writing to carolyn.lynch@usmc.mil, Contract Specialist, no later than February 10, 2020, 08:00 A.M. PST.� Telephone requests will not be accepted.� This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
