THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, NOR SPECIFICATIONS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.� EXHIBIT DRAWINGS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE FOR REFERENCE ONLY. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Norfolk District in Partnership with the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia invites Industry (General Contractors and/or Marine Contractors) for Market Research for the Lynnhaven River Basin Ecosystem Restoration, Phase 1-Reef Habitat Restoration Project. The Project is located in the Lynnhaven River between Keeling Cove and Dix Creek. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District is seeking qualified and experienced contractors capable of fabricating, curing, staging and installing dome-shaped reef habitat structures composed of concrete (approximately 1foot high x 1-1.5 feet wide) spaced two feet apart on approximately 4-8 continuous acres of submerged lands in the Lynnhaven River. Contractor will produce 600-1200 reeh habitat structures per month depending on options exercised. Structures will be installed during a construction window of March 31- July 31. The period of performance for the contract is 2 years. Installation of the fabricated and cured reef structures from water will occur between the months of March � July during the two performance years on an oysterground lease.� The City of Virginia Beach staging area near the Lynnhaven Boat Ramp adjacent to the Lesner Bridge can be used for an undetermined amount of concrete reef units and project equipment.
