Description

The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to provide depot-level test and repair of the C-130 Radio, Control Set (TACAN). The National Stock Numbers (NSN) and Part Numbers (PN) are as follows: � Radio Set Control NSN:�5820-01-439-2708 & PN: 622-5147-002 � The TACAN is on the AC-130J, MC-130J and HC-130J, each aircraft has one TACAN installed. It a system of navigation that uses ultrahigh frequency signals to determine the distance and bearing of an aircraft from a transmitting station. The TACAN is used during approach/departure to/from a particular airfield or enroute to a distant airfield. **Please see attachment for other details.
