Description
The purpose for this source sought notice is to locate interested companies that can furnish the REQUIREMENTS listed in the PWS that is attached. Offeror's capability to meet this requirement including any current contracts with more than 2 years of Period of Performance (Civilian or Government) to include meeting the below listed accreditations or similar standards, facility description, capabilities, and certifications. Responses must show clear and convincing evidence that your company and its employees have the capabilities, training, and qualifications to provide this service to be considered as a source. Any future RFP will be conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15. The Government may elect to award a Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from the solicitation. Please provide a detailed response to the below Performance Work Statement stating how you can meet all aspects stated. It is requested that responses be received no later than 2:00 pm Central, February 21st, 2020. SDVOSB Contractors to provide documentation to fulfill capabilities of the following clause: FAR 52.219-27. No solicitation document is available currently; this notice is to acquire information only. Vendors interested in providing an offer will have to respond to a separate solicitation announcement. Statement of Work Tint windows on Unit 3K Eugene J. Towbin Healthcare Center B170 2200 Ft Roots Drive Ft. Roots North Little Rock, Arkansas Scope Contractor will provide all necessary equipment, labor and materials to tint 24 patient room windows on unit 3K, located on the 3rd floor, B170, Eugene J. Towbin Healthcare Center, 2200 Ft. Roots Drive. This facility is located on Ft Roots campus, North Little Rock, Arkansas. The room numbers that will be tinted are listed below: Room number Number of Windows 156 2 150 1 158 1 142 2 138 2 132 1 130 1 124 1 124C 1 Background All windows and frames were recently replaced due to storms and water leakage. The newly installed windows were tinted. The tints allows too much sunlight and heat into patient rooms. Several tint products were reviewed, and samples placed in unit 3K. Tint material specified here in this SOW worked best in existing conditions on unit 3K. It is noted that there will be no patients in rooms when contractor will tint windows. The contractor and COR will work with nursing staff to make rooms available for the contractor to work with no patients. 3. Requirements. a. The tint will be applied with approved pick proof material such that the tint and special caulk cannot be removed. b. The tint will reduce heat, sunlight and visibility in the patient s rooms to the maximum extent possible. The tint material manufacturer is SunTek, DRMPS/DS 7 Neutral or equivalent. The specifications and information for the DRMPS/DS 7 Neutral, or equivalent, tint is provided below. The minimum tint specifications are listed below: Specifications Single Pane Visible light transmission 7% Total solar transmittance 6% Total Solar Reflectance 53% Total Solar Absorbance Interior 14% Exterior 60% Winter U- Value 0.91 UV Rejected 99% Glare Reduction 94% Shading coefficient 0.18 Solar Heat gain Coefficient 0.16 Infrared Rejection 86% UV Light Rejection 99% Total Solar Energy Light Rejected 84% This area of the hospital requires special access and the contractor will only be able to gain access to rooms with close coordination of the nursing staff due to patient requirements. d. The contractor will submit sample of the recommended tint to the project Construction Control Representative for approval before start of work. e. Contractor will coordinate work times and room locations and order of work with Cor and nursing staff. f. All twelve windows will be tinted with the tint materials meeting the tint specifications. The tint must fit the entire window with no seams. The edges of the tint will be sealed with pick proof caulk along the inside of the window frame. g. The window sizes are approximately 7 x 5 4 and 3 4 x 5 4 . There are 12 windows of each dimension. There are 24 total windows to be tinted. h. The contractor will verify material requirements. i. The approved contractor will coordinate with the assigned COR for issuance of badges to work on site and to access unit 3K, B170.
