- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following services at the Bend CBOC, Bend Oregon. Contract Title: Janitorial Services for Bend Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) General Information: This is a services contract to provide Medical Grade Janitorial services for the Veteran Affairs Portland Healthcare System, specifically the Bend CBOC, 2650 NE Courtney Drive, Bend, OR 97701. The Facility is comprised of both Medical and administrative areas with approximately 80 functional staff occupying roughly 26,000 GSF. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the service herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the contractor, who in turn is responsible to the Government. Description of Services: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, tools, supervision, and other and non-personal services necessary to ensure that janitorial services are performed at the Bend CBOC as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. Background: This service is required because the Veteran Affairs Portland Healthcare System is unable to meet the unique cleaning needs of the CBOC due to locality. Specific Tasks: All cleaning functions will be in accordance to The Joint Commission standards, Infection Control requirements, and meet Environmental Management Standards for cleanliness. Frequency of cleaning tasks are outlined in Attachment A of this document. Cleaning Products Approval: The Contractor will provide a list of all cleaning products and germicides to be used to the COR to ensure that they are suitable for use within the VA. All chemicals used will be approved by the Chief, Environmental Management Service (EMS) to ensure all VA guidelines are met. Any new cleaning supplies added during the contract performance will need approval from the Chief, EMS before being used. The Contractor shall be responsible for the proper disposal of all cleaning supplies. Cleaning products containing warnings that they may not be used in unventilated areas will not be acceptable. All chemicals and other potentially dangerous products and cleaning supplies (including mops, mop buckets, etc.) must be stored in their original, labeled containers. All cleaning and sanitization chemicals will be clearly labeled with either a printed manufacturer s label, or silk-screened bottle. Containers without labels will be disposed of. Potential candidates having the capabilities necessary to provide the above stated equipment with installation are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice via e-mail to Laura Davis at laura.davis5@va.gov no later than February 18, 5PM PDT. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: company name, address, and business size; point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address; suggested equipment information including manufacturer, model and delivery schedule; whether system is presently offered on a current GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract. NAICS Code 561720 is applicable to determine business size standard. Any questions or concerns may also be directed to Laura Davis via e-mail. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. The Government may or may not issue a solicitation as a result of this announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time.
