Description
The United States Bureau of Reclamation is issuing this sources sought as a means of conducting market research to identify small businesses having an interest in and the resources available to build and provide a sewage pumping truck. The pumping truck must be delivered to Bureau of Reclamation, 5520 Knoxville Road, Napa CA 94558. Please see below for Salient Characteristics of the truck required: Truck: (1) New medium-sized white diesel-powered truck under 26,001-pound GVWR. (2) Air-ride adjustable driver seat. (3) Air conditioning, am/fm radio, powered windows. (4) Mechanical/hydraulic brakes (no air brakes). (5) Automatic transmission and clutch driven PTO. (6) Heated and inside cab adjustable rear and side view mirrors. Tank and Equipment: (1) Aluminum tank for water/wastewater with internal baffles (1100 Gallons vacuum / 400 Gallons fresh water). Tank needs to come with standard lids/gaskets and atmospheric vents as needed. (2) PTO driven vacuum pump sufficient to lift wastewater from 15-foot-deep vaults with 3-inch hose. (3) 2-inch vacuum tank intake located in forward third of tank, drivers� side with shut-off valve and cam/lock fittings with dust cap. (4) 3-inch vacuum tank intake located in rear third of tank, drivers� side with shut-off valve and cam/lock fittings with dust cap. (5) 4-inch vacuum tank drain with shut-off valve. (6) Three tank mounted sight indicators at �, �, and full tank. (7) 12v DC water pump greater than 3.0 GPM and 180 PSI. (8) 100-foot high-pressure hose and mechanically retractable reel mounted on driver�s side rear with professional adjustable nozzle. (9) 1.5-inch freshwater gravity feed inlet pipe located on drivers� side with ball-mount valve ending in cam/groove adapter with dust cap. (10) Sight indicator for freshwater tank. (11) Trays under entire tank (both sides and rear) tank for fresh and wastewater hose storage. (12) Rear fenders, mud flaps. (13) Three Vacuum hose brackets large enough to secure 40 feet of 2-inch flexible hose � 2 positioned on drivers� side of tank and one on the passenger side. (14) 36-inch wide by 24-inch deep by 24-inch high locking/waterproof storage box on drivers� side behind cab. (15) Retractable (fold-up) Porta-potty rack on back with tie-downs sufficient to safely haul two standard portable toilets. (16) Two LED swivel work lights position on rear of tank near the top, one on drivers� side and one on passengers� side with on/off control switch mounted on dash. (17) LED amber light bar mounted on bracket at front of tank, with on/off control switch on dash. (18) Lights, bumpers, and any additional equipment to comply with Federal, DOT, and California regulations. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes. No award will be made as a result of this notice. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice. The notice is for research and information purposes only. NAICS code for this requirement is 336999 � All Other Transportation Equipment Manufacturing and the associated small business size standard is 1000 employees. All businesses with the capability and availability to perform the requirement under the applicable NAICS code are invited to submit a response to this notice. If your organization is interested in providing these product/services under contract, please respond to this announcement and include the required following information: 1. Name of organization, address including zip code, DUNS number, point of contact name, telephone number, and email address. 2. Confirmation of organization�s active System for Award (SAM) registration with expiration date. 3. Business size and classification to include any designations as Certified Small Business, HUBZone Certified Small Business Concern, Section 8(a) contractor, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Women Owned Small Business, or Large Business Concern. 4. Information that would demonstrate that your business has the capability and resources to meet the specifications of the requirements as described above in the Salient Characteristics.
