Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) SEEKING COLLABORATION WITH INDUSTRY TO ENHANCE THE COSG TRAINING PROGRAM. THIS REQUEST IS NOT A FUNDED REQUIREMENT. NO PROPOSALS ARE REQUIRED. The COSG is a 10-week course designed to prepare AFICC candidates for their unlimited contracting officer warrant boards. The weekly two and half-hour course consists of various topics from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented by the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFFARS), and the Air Force Materiel Command Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFMCFARS). Along with presenting a range of topics and their associated regulations, the course includes a discussion that allows candidates to enhance their critical thinking/decision making skills in solving contracting scenarios. Response to this RFI is strictly voluntary to contractors. Future Contracting Officers (CO) benefit from hearing perspectives from experts on different topic areas. This RFI provides an opportunity for contractors to collaborate with the Government to develop contracting officer candidates by providing information about ""real world"" contract scenarios to illustrate practical application of acquisition regulation and policy. Sharing contracting scenarios would allow candidates to gain industrys perspective on a range of acquisition topics. The subject RFI is for training purposes only and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued. There is no entitlement to payment by the Government of direct or indirect costs or charges that arise as a result of the submission of information in response to this RFI or possible attendance at a COSG training session. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any improperly identified proprietary information. AFICC/KPS requests industry provide ""Contract Administration/Modification and Services"" scenarios they have encountered during the course of doing business with the Air Force, as they relate to requirements in the areas of Services, Construction, Architect & Engineering, Research & Developmental acquisitions. Please refer to the Attachments/Link section for more information.
