Description

THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the issuance of solicitation 15B41820B00000001 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract a project entitled Replace Boiler Controls�at the Federal Correctional Complex Terre Haute, IN. FCC Terre Haute is located at 4700 Bureau Rd. South, Terre Haute, IN 47802 The following brief synopsis does not include all of the work required to complete the project.�The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials and incidentals to replace and/or upgrade feed water, steam, exhaust and burner controls on four (4) boilers, associated data transfer systems and interfaces and ancillary equipment.� The contractor is responsible for programming the associated control systems and interface to be located at each burner control and plant master located within the CUP operator�s office.� All manufacturers� recommendations and BOP Technical Design Guidelines shall be implemented.� All Federal, State and Local regulations shall be followed. The performance period for the project will be 189 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed.� Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $250,000 and $500,000.� (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range.� It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies�somewhere�within that range.) The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238220�with a corresponding small business size standard of $16.5 million. This is a 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will be available approximately on or about February 6, 2020. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the beta.sam.gov website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The website provides download instruction. Any secure/locked documents uploaded with the solicitation will require an active beta.sam.gov vendor registration (log-in) for access as well as your Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) associated with your System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registration.
