Description
The Contractor shall provide all design, labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to provide and install new high bay Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting fixtures in the maintenance space. The project shall provide three insulated rollup doors and correct water intrusion issues at the southeast corner of the facility. Work shall be accomplished in accordance with the�Solicitation and all attached documents. � A.LED Lighting � Remove 36 existing high-bay High Pressure Sodium (HPS) fixtures fromthe maintenance space of the facility and replace with a system of high-bay LED lightfixtures. The contractor shall perform lighting calculations and design the system tomeet Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) 3-530-01 minimum requirements for illuminanceand uniformity for usage in maintenance. Additionally, six HPS wall-pack fixtures onthe exterior of the building shall be replaced with LED wall-pack lights controlled byphotocells. Execution of electrical work shall meet the requirements of UFC 3-501-01,Electrical Engineering, as well as UFC 3-520-01, Interior Electrical Systems. Each UFCcan be found on the Whole Building Design Guide, linked in Part II. B.Building Shell and Drainage � Contractor shall replace the personnel double door atthe southeast corner of the facility and repair the siding around and above the doorto prevent water from infiltrating the facility during inclement weather. Additionally,the pavement, soil, and drain system near the southeast personnel entrance shall bereconfigured to properly conduct water away from the building shell to an existingcatch basin approximately 20 feet from the facility. C.Insulate Rollup Doors � Two rollup doors in the Consolidated Toolkit (CTK) and oneroll-up door in the Hydraulics ready room are insufficiently insulated and are causingsignificant heat loss. Each of these three rollup doors shall be replaced with a newinsulated and motorized rollup door. Ensure new doors are properly mounted with allnecessary appurtenances and weather sealed to minimize air infiltration to thebuilding. Per UFGS 08 36 19, ""Vertical Lift Doors"", insulated lift doors shall beinsulated with material providing a coefficient of heat transfer (""U"" factor) of 0.14 orless when tested in accordance with ASTM C136/C136M.
