- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command plans to procure F/A-18 E/F/G aircraft ancillary equipment (AAE), production-related engineering change proposals (ECPs), and associated requirements including systems engineering, production management, tooling, non-recurring engineering, and related data to support these items from the Boeing Company. �These items may be procured via the award of one or more modifications to the F/A-18E/F/G Lots 40 through 42A production contract (N0001917C0003) with the Boeing Company.� This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F/A-18 E/F/G aircraft and is the only known source with the knowledge, expertise, facilities and qualified personnel necessary to accomplish these efforts within the timeframes required.� The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals; however, responsible interested parties may submit a qualification statement in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to these requirements.� A determination by the Government to refrain from competing this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� The Government will not pay for any information received.
