- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, intends to enter a sole source procurement for a (CentriMag Blood Pump replacement 102953) for the (688) Washington DC VA Medical Center, 50 Irving St NW, Washington, DC 20422. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to (vendor name address) Company Name: Abbott Laboratories Address: 3200 LAKESIDE DR SANTA CLARA,�CA,�95054-2807 Phone: 804-937-4929 The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is (339112) and the Business Size Standard is (1000) employees. It is the Government s belief that the (The CentriMag blood pump is used with the profusion pump. The estimated amount of use is 1 per year and a back-up must be available. There must be 2 on hand in the event of a failure. This is new requirement replacement part for existing equipment. The Centri Mag is our Heart Center Cardiothoracic surgery system to manage cardiogenic shock, ECMO, and intermediate VAD for potential Veterans. This system is expiring, and replacement part is required to fulfill the service s future patient needs. Although used infrequently it is an approved system and device by the Medical Center that s needs to be maintained and ALL equipment ordered and stored with compliant certification/ expiration dates. The market research conducted Item received Abbott sole manufacturer /distributor letter. Manufacturer authorizes no other distributors for this item. LG business responded- has item open market. GSA Ebuy sources sought received 0 interest. Requires exact match for replacement pump is required at the Washington DC VAMC. The estimated value of this acquisition is approximately ($25,275.00). The estimated award date is on or before (2/28/2020). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Time 2/25/2020. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
