Description
DESCRIPTION: This is a Sources Sought Notice, seeking responses to determine interested parties for participation in this acquisition. There is no RFQ available at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Regional Office (VARO) Jackson, MS. 39216, is conducting market research to determine the existence of Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business contractors that can perform the following task: Remove and properly dispose of five (5) existing Door King Model Number 1601-081 barrier gate operators. The contractor shall provide and install five (5) new barrier gate operators with equipment equal or greater to the same quality as the operators currently in use. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Veterans Benefits Administration, Jackson Regional Office 1600 E. Woodrow Wilson Ave., Jackson, MS. 39216. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: 1.The Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of the five (5) existing Door King Model #1601-081 barrier gate operators. 2. The Contractor shall provide and install five (5) replacement barrier gate operators with equipment equal or greater to the same quality as the operator s currently in use. 3. The Contractor is to provide and install a replacement for the current Airphone LEF-5 intercom voice communication system that provides security personnel located at the 1st Floor Security Desk with the ability to talk to employees at the barrier gate operators and remotely open both the East and West entry gates with the hold open option. The current intercom system does not have connectivity with the West entrance gate due to a break in the line. 4. The Contractor is to replace all wiring from the barrier gate operators loop detectors and those wires running to the voice intercom system located on the 1st Floor of the Regional Office and the Red Storm Parking Counter System located on the 3rd Floor of the Regional Office. 5. The Contractor is to provide all equipment, operating parts, labor, transportation and supplies required to accomplish installing, inspecting, adjusting, and calibrating the new devices at levels necessary to provide the specified functions to meet the manufacturer s current equipment specifications. It is published for information and planning purposes only and not a request for competitive quotations, therefore, no solicitation documents exist for this requirement. The purpose of this Source Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources, their size classification relative to the NAICS Code. Responses to this Source Sought will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Any interested and qualified sources are requested to provide a brief capabilities statement and a letter of interest to the contracting officer Eural Bennett via email to eural.bennett1@va.gov. As part of your capability statement please include any current or past contracts you have been awarded or the ability to obtain sufficient proof of capability for this type of contract. Any information provided is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice.
