- N00164-20-S-NB34� REQUEST FOR INFORMATION � SOLE SOURCE - environmental (climatic) and Heavyweight high IMPACT Shipboard Shock and vibration Test - NAICS Code 54138�FSC H258 Issue Date 25 FEB 2020 - Closing Date 24 MAR 2020 - Time 15:00 EDT MARKET SURVEY � REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: In accordance with Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) Procedures, guidance and Information (PGI) 206.302-1, the Government is issuing this request for information/sources-sought announcement as part of a market research. �Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division located at Naval Support Activity, Crane, IN intends to award a sole source contract to either National Technical Services, Inc., Rustburg, VA or High Test Laboratories, Inc., Arvonia, VA. This effort will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The basis for restricting competition is that these two vendors are approved in accordance with NAVSEAINST 9491.1C, Locations of Approved Class HI Shock Testing Facilities. � In accordance with DFARS PGI 206.302-1, the Government is accepting information from companies potentially capable of meeting the requirements as described herein. 1) Approved vendor in accordance with NAVSEAINST 9491.1C, Locations of Approved Class HI Shock Testing Facilities. � 2) Can meet Environmental (Climatic) Testing requirements of MIL-STD-810G a) Equipment to be tested shall be exposed to High Temperature in accordance with Section 501.6��� Procedure II, Low Temperature Section in accordance with 502.6 Procedure II, Salt Fog in accordance with Section 509.6, Humidity in accordance with Section 507.6, Rain/Blowing Rain in accordance with Section 506.6, Icing/Freezing Rain in accordance with Section 521.4. ���� a) Equipment Specifications ������ ����� ��a. This is a non-operational test. Equipment to be tested shall be exposed to ship motion of sea state 5 per DOD-STD-1399 Section 301A.� This is an operational test. Power: 115VAC, 60 Hz, 3-phase delta and 115VAC, 400 Hz, single phase 5) Can meet Shipboard Shock Testing requirements of MIL-S-901D as follows: Obtain standard MIL-S-901D explosives after the completion of the explosive release form by the appropriate representative. Equipment shall be shock tested in accordance with MIL-S-901D, grade A, Class I, type A, unrestricted. Equipment shall be tested in a mast mounted configuration.
