- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a sole source cost-reimbursement type order with DRS Systems, Inc. Melbourne, FL for non-recurring engineering for follow-on test and evaluation software support of the AN/AAQ-45 Distributed Aperture Infrared Countermeasures (DAIRCM) Joint Urgent Operation Need Statement (JUONS) system configuration to support Department of Defense (DoD) requirements. This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to DRS Systems, Inc. in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because DRS Systems, Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� In addition, the Government does not own a technical data package (TDP) for the AN/AAQ-45 which is suitable for competition. �Drawings and data are proprietary to DRS Systems, Inc. �A Product Verification Audit (PVA) may be required for prospective sources.� Please contact DRS Systems, Inc.
