Description
SPECIAL NOTICE - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) - The Government is issuing this RFI/sources sought announcement as part of market research for services listed below. Clean (i.e., pressure wash) PSB systems components, 32 PSB modules, 5 buoys, 5 anchors, 1 marine fender to remove sea growth and perform an inspection to identify components that require repair/replacement. ��The results of the inspections shall be provided to Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, USN, Newport News (SUPSHIPNN) Code 159. The contractor will order parts/components, in accordance with NAVFAC Drawings 6525652 and 6525658, needed for replacement. The Contractor will provide all parts/components needed. Parts/components not used during refurbishment will be turned over NNS as spare parts. Replace PSB system components/items needed to keep the PSB in a serviceable condition in accordance with SUPSHIPNN Port Security Barrier (PSB-P Variant) Maintenance Manual, NAVFAC Drawings 6525652 and 6525658, and NNS Drawing 384390. Inspections and Operation shall be conducted in accordance with the Operating Manual for Port Security Barriers, NAVFAC CR-6314-OCN and any other additional GFI provided by the Supervisor. Provide crane, forklift and other support (including personnel, barges) as necessary for the disassembly/removal of PSB modules (approximately 8000 lbs.), buoys (approximately 10,000 lbs.) and anchors (approximately 66,000 lbs.). Prepare and assemble the PSB sections, buoys, anchors and marine fender as necessary for transport back to NNS for reinstallation. The Government is accepting information from companies potentially capable of meeting the requirements as described above. Companies with the capabilities that would enable them to meet the Government's requirements may respond.� Responses shall include availability, budgetary cost estimate, and lead-time of the solution. �All interested parties may submit company and product literature, a white paper no longer than 5 pages, and/or other pertinent information, such as a description with performance parameters, a statement of current availability, and summary of prior work history performing this type of work.� Responses to the Market Survey shall include the following: Submitter's Name Street Address, City, State, Zip Code Business Size Point of Contact (POC) POC Telephone Announcement Number: N62793-20-S-0059 The Government may contact RFI respondents to get clarification on the information submitted. At the current time, NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE for contractual efforts. This RFI/sources sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The US Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. Market Survey information may be submitted to the Point of Contact (POC) any time prior to the expiration of this announcement.
