Introduction: This Project Announcement (PA) is for a Request For Information (RFI). This RFI announcement is being issued for a Source Sought only at this time from SOSSEC Consortium Members. OVERVIEW The United States Air Force (USAF) Air Combat Command (ACC), through the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Helicopter Program Office (HPO) Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) Training Systems (TS) Branch is looking to explore emerging technologies in the Aircrew Simulation and Technology field. The CRH is specifically looking to explore innovative Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs). BACKGROUND The HH-60W is based on the existing UH-60M aircraft with an established production base and flight-proven systems. The Personnel Recovery (PR) function generates some of the most complex missions in the United States Air Force (USAF), including providing support to the Joint Forces Air Component Commander as a high-end, long range capability to recover isolated personnel in a higher threat environment. In addition to the Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) mission, the HH-60W will support civil Search and Rescue, non-combatant evacuation operations, humanitarian response operations, and disaster response. As the intended replacement for the HH-60G, the HH-60W will have the same mission requirements and mission tasks as the existing platform, and it will face the same mission scenarios, threats, and environmental conditions as the HH-60G. REQUIREMENTS The Requirements Description contains information that is Distribution D, For Official Use Only and/or Export Controlled Information (ITAR, No Foreign Disclosure, etc.). SOSSEC Consortium Members in good standing can request this information in accordance with the RFI Project Announcement.
