- RFI- Sources Sought Update� This is a Request for Information as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the capability to remove, overhaul, and re-install the Motor/Generator Skid for the Stiff Leg Derrick (SLD) crane at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery ME. This is for planning purposes only to allow in accordance with FAR 15.201 (b) potential offerors to judge whether or how they can satisfy the Government�s requirements. It does NOT constitute a solicitation and shall NOT be construed as a commitment by the government to award a contract from this announcement. The government is NOT seeking proposals at this time and unsolicited proposals will not be accepted. In accordance with FAR 15.202 (e), responses to this notice are NOT deemed offers, and CANNOT be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. PNS intends to issue a combined synopsis/solicitation N3904020Q0077 and award a firm-fixed price contract for the Motor/Generator Skid removal, refurbishment and reinstallation at PNS. Based on the results of the Sources Sought Notice and market research, the Government will determine whether the requirement will be procured by full and open competition. Only those Responders that are able to meet the following criteria should respond to this Sources Sought Notice: Entity is capable of meeting ALL specifications outlined in the attached Performance Work Statement document. Entity has an active CAGE Code, and current registration in the System for Award Management (www.SAM.gov). Entity does NOT appear on the Excluded Parties List Optional Pre-Solicitation Tour: The area will be made available for an optional tour WILL BE March 12, 2020 at 12:30pm. Scheduling of the optional tour shall be arranged through the Contracting Specialist. Potential offerors intending to tour the area shall notify the Contracting Specialist no later than March 5, 2020 to ensure proper arrangements are made. Provided for review only are the following DRAFT document: 1) DRAFT Statement of Work* *At a later date, an actual solicitation may to be posted to the Government Point of Entry, GPE, at beta.SAM.gov. with an official Solicitation number, RFQ Form, and a final Statement of Work. The market research information collected resulting from this Sources Sought Notice will be used to help the Government to identify qualified sources capable of accomplishing the required work outlined in the Draft Statement of Work under NAICS Code 811310. �The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS Code is $8.0 Million.
