Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER Army Contracting Command � Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tobyhanna Division, Tobyhanna, PA 18466 intends to award a sole source purchase order to Teradyne, Inc., Assembly Test Division, 700 Riverpark Drive, North Reading, MA� 01864. This requirement will provide technical support for LASAR software.� Support will include telephone and email technical support, access to online knowledgebase which will provide web access to technical solutions, documentation and software libraries. LASAR software is a proprietary software suite fully owned by Teradyne, Inc.� Teradyne holds copyrights, licenses, and other intellectual property rights on the LASAR software products.� As such, they are the sole source to provide software support and updates.� Maintenance is required to continue to receive technical support for our existing LASAR software. The Government intends to acquire this service under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with Teradyne, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes. However, if any interested party that can provide this service, without compromising manufacturing delivery, warranty or mark ups, you may submit a statement of capabilities that may be considered by Tobyhanna Army Depot.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is based upon responses to this notice and it is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. The capability statement, a price list and any other information furnished must be via email only and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can meet the requirements.
