Description
PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VHSO), 1100 North College Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas for two (2) board certified or board eligible Hospitalists. Upon completion of Background Investigation contract period will be from date of award for up to 120 workdays. The Contractor shall provide Internal Medicine physician positions for approximately 180 days and will be located at the VHSO, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Services shall be provided in accordance with the terms and conditions of this task order. No procedures; average admissions anywhere from one to five, at the most. Hours shall be 7:00 am through 7:00pm, Weekend, Federal Holidays and as needed to cover full time staff during periods of extended vacation up to seven days per week. Contract Physicians may be scheduled to work 60 hours or more per week. Physicians may, if needed by the COR in limited, rare, or emergent circumstances, be asked to work more than 60 hours per week. All accepted physician(s) shall provide 100% inpatient care as a Hospitalist physician. Physicians will have access to the VA s computerized patient record system (CPRS) to enter orders, progress notes, and consult requests. Hospital will also work with first, second and third year Residents as needed. This may include up to 7 consecutive days as the attending physician for the Resident Ward Team. Hospitalist shall meet qualifications as UAMS Clinical Faculty. Hospitalist will be required to apply for and obtain approval for this faculty appointment. The requirement is for a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician (s). BLS and ACLS certification are required. Average patients per day is ten (10), mostly male Veterans but with some female Veterans, average age of 65. Hours shall be 7:00 am through 7:00 pm, weekends, Federal Holidays and as needed to cover full time staff during periods of extended vacation up to seven days per week. There shall be no overtime (OT) without prior written approval. There are no on-call expectations for this requirement. Candidates with prior VA experience and knowledge of the VA s CPRS system are preferred. VetPro enrollment is also a requirement, if the physician is not already enrolled. The Hospitalist shall: Be competent in modern treatment principles and techniques. Be competent in ventilator management. Be responsible for appropriate documentation of clinic notes, consultations, and procedures using the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS). Complete electronic encounter forms for each patient encounter, with all encounters completed daily. Be responsible for following all VHA guidelines, Clinical Performance Measures, OSHA regulations, The Joint commission (TJC) standards, and medical center policies and procedures, including guideline related to VHA and VISN 16 performance measures. Acquisition is being procured Open Market under Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses set aside, applicable NAICS code 561320 Temporary Help Services, size standard $38.5M. Solicitation to be available on or about 4 June 2018 with proposals due approximately 14 days from the issue date, 3:00pm central time.
