Description
The VA Iliana Healthcare System, 1900 East Main Street, in Danville Illinois is seeking sources with the capability to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, management and supervision to remove and replace existing unserviceable insulation in two (2) locations in Building 58 at the VA lliana Healthcare Systems campus at 1900 East Main Street, Danville, II 61832. The NAICS code for the solicitation to be released is 238220, with a size standard of $16.5 million. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) Contractor(s) shall respond with their capabilities and proof of registration in VIP at https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/Home/Index . Contractors shall also provide their DUNS number, business size and socioeconomic status under the NAICS Code listed above. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov prior to submission of any offer. Responses shall be due by 4PM CDT on Friday March 20 ,2020. Responses should be sent by email to kevin.adkins@va.gov . Requirement information is as follows: Scope of work: The vendor shall provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, management and supervision to remove and replace existing unserviceable insulation in two (2) locations in Building 58 at the VA lliana Healthcare Systems campus at 1900 East Main Street, Danville, II 61832. Services to be provided: Remove and replace existing moisture laden insulation on approximately forty-five (45) lineal feet of 24"" x 24"" metal duct work (Exact dimensions and layout to be field verified by vendor prior to ordering material to insure proper fit) Ductwork is 24 inches x 24 inches Location of the ductwork is in the Building 58 Inpatient Pharmacy, room 102C (See attached drawing) Appendix 1 Replacement insulation shall be new 11/2inch Type 100 Duct Wrap (Foil faced 1 �"" fiberglass blanket) All removed debris is to be removed from VA property by the vendor All work must be completed after 7:00 PM and area cleaned, vacated and ready for the following days activity prior to 4:00 AM the following morning Remove and replace unserviceable Armaflex insulation from Fujitsu mini split unit refrigeration lines on the outside west wall of Building 58 Pharmacy serving the Sterile Processing Service Approximate dimensions- two (2) lines of forty-five (45) lineal feet each reaching to an elevation of 30' above grade and accessible only by boom lift (exact dimensions to be field verified by vendor before ordering to insure proper fit and fittings) Utilization of mechanical lift equipment access to the work site shall be coordinated in advance with the Contracting On Site Representative {COR) New Aerocel insulation shall be utilized isolating the lines and insulating independently Two coats of Aerocel sealer will be applied to adequately seal the exterior from moisture and UV degradation All debris generated or excess materials shall be removed from the property at the conclusion of work Equipment in proximity to and under the work area is to be protected Area to be returned to original condition when installation and cleanup are completed SITE ACCESS All personnel working on this project will be required to be in possession of a valid VA flash pass or will need to sign in at Police Service daily to obtain a visitor badge prior to working on this project. Badge application forms (0711) are available from the COR All personnel working on VA property are required to complete privacy training and comply with VA Handbook 6500.6 Appendix C, Sections 1,6,7,9a{3) and 9b All personnel on VA projects are required at a minimum to be in possession of a Ten (10) hour OSHA card Infection control permits where required will be issued by the Infection Control staff (Stephanie Green) (217) 554-3243 prior to the commencement of work. COR/POC will assist with coordination and escorts as required DELIVERY OF SERVICES Material is to be procured and installation completed as soon as possible. Project to be completed within 60 days of the Notice to Proceed. Prior to work commencing, coordination with VAIHCS Engineering is required.
