Description
The U.S. Forest Service, Region 6, Siuslaw National Forest has a requirement for application of a Type II Slurry Seal Coat and Type A Pavement Marking for the Cape Perpetua Parking Area.� Contractor shall establish and record existing pavement markings and locations for reference on all work areas. All work surfaces of existing pavement areas in roadway and parking lots identified in the plans shall be cleaned of loose material, dirt, and other deleterious material before placement of the slurry seal coating.� Contractor shall duplicate existing painted lines and symbols providing stencils for symbols as shown in the plans after slurry applications has sufficiently cured. Project Location: This project is located on the Central Coast Ranger District of the Siuslaw National Forest, at the Cape Perpetua Visitors Center. The entire project is within Township 15 South, Range 12 West, Section 10 and continuing through to Section 3, near Yachats, OR. The Government�s estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000.� A payment bond (100 percent) may be required after award. Contract performance time is estimated to begin May 1, 2020 with project ready not later than 30 September 2020.�� Projected date for full solicitation upload is 19 March 2020. This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. �Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Biobased Preferred Program (FB4P). Note: prospective awardee shall be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base prior to award. Information on registration may be obtained via the internet at: http://www.sam.gov. All contractors and vendors must complete the electronic version of the Representations and Certifications in the SAM system.
