Description
This is a combined synopsis for 350 radiosondes and two receivers to obtain atmospheric soundings in accordance with the statement of need.� This solicitation is being posted as unrestricted under NAICS code 334519 with a size standard of 500 employees. The description is as follows: Line item #1. 350 radiosondes and 350 balloons (Windsond S1-H3 or equal) a. Balloon capable of flight to 5000 m AGL. b. Radiosonde must meet specifications c-e when operating between 0C - 40 C temperature, 0 100% relative humidity, and 300-1050 hPa pressures. c. Required transmit range: at least 15 km. d. Required temperature accuracy: 0.2 degrees C. e. Required relative humidity accuracy: 2%. f. Observation frequency: 1 Hz Line item #2. Two receivers (Windsond RR2 or equal) a. Each receiver must collect and store data from at least eight radiosondes simultaneously. b. Must be 100% compatible with the radiosondes purchased in Line item #1. c. For each radiosonde in use, the receiving system must store sonde position (longitude, latitude, height), horizontal and vertical wind components, temperature, pressure, and relative humidity, for every observation. d. Must be capable of receiving while the receiver is in motion. e. Must be able to terminate data collection from all in-flight radiosondes by user command. f. Must be no heavier than 10 kg with a horizontal footprint no larger than 50x50 cm. Line item #3. Spares 30 spare balloons identical to those provided with the radiosondes above (Line item #1). 12 spare batteries identical to those provided with the radiosondes above(Line item #1). Line item #4. Chargers 2 Battery chargers compatible with the sonde batteries in Line Item #3. Please see the statement of need for more detail. Please note, this is a brand name or equal requirement (See Attached FAR 52.211-6). At a minimum, your quote must include: 1.� Your DUNS number 2. A completed FAR 52.212-24 statement 3. Your proposed bid 4. Your contact information� Clauses will be evaluated on: 1. Technical Acceptability 2. Price Quotes are required to be received in the contracting office no later than 2:00 P.M.
