Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8, San Juan, Puerto Rico has a requirement for replacing an existent air handling unit with a new one at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The NAICS code to be used is 333415 (Air-conditioning and warm air heating equipment and commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment manufacturing) and PSC N041 (Installation of Equipment: Refrigeration, air conditioning and air circulating equipment). Please see specific tasks below: The Contractor shall provide the following: Industrial Mechanic(s) (with technical degree), to perform the removal and installation of the unit. Mechanical Engineer(s) to oversee the works to be performed. TAB certified technicians to conduct the TAB works once the new unit is installed. The service shall include: a. Removal and disposition of existent unit to be replaced. b. Provide necessary ductwork for the unit to be installed including the insultation c. Integrate all monitoring and control circuits into Building Automated System. d. Replace existent air handling unit by providing and installing a new unit. e. Install polyurethane foam insulation to the supply and return chill-water piping. f. Performed testing adjusting and balancing (TAB) once installed. New Unit shall meet the following specifications/characteristics: Model Modular Climate Changer (MCC) Size 17 ; Type HDT Components - Inlet Plenum, Flat Filter, Cartridge, Filter, Cooling Coil, Fan, Outlet Plenum. Options Spring Vibration Isolators, 30% Filters, 90% Filters. Casing Construction Material Galvanized Steel. Skin Double Wall. Fan and Motor: Design CFM 7540, EXT. SP(in/Wg) 3 Motor HP 10 ; Motor type - HE ODP ; Volts/PH/Hz 460/3/60 Drive Fixed ; Fan Blades Forward Curve Outside Air CFM 7540 ; EAT DB/WB (F) 89 / 80.8 LAT DB/WB (F) 54 / 54 ; ADP (in Wg) 1 max EWT (F) 41 ; LWT (F) 57 ; GPM 91.5 WPD (Ft Wg) 20 Max. ; Face Velocity (FPM) 448.8 Tons 61 ; Rows 8 max.
