- Description
- POSTPONED: Industry Day is postponed untilfurther notice. Please check back to Beta.Sam.gov for future notices. 1. Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC) will host an Industry Day on Fort Hood, TX on Thursday, 16 April 2020 from 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. CST. Industry Day is intended to obtain an understanding of industry capabilities and provide an opportunity for potential industry partners to gain additional insight concerning the upcoming Automated Core Laboratory requirement. Automated Core Laboratory System: The core laboratory concept combines the disciplines of clinical hematology, chemistry, immunochemistry, toxicology and coagulation into one automated contiguous process. The robotic process sorts, tests and stores patient specimens without human manipulation thereby reducing handling and transcription errors. The automation is able to locate a single vial of blood for additional or repeat testing in a matter of seconds. An integrated data-management system identifies specimens that require intervention by a technologist and allows results that fit preprogrammed guidelines per individual patient to be reported immediately. An Automated Core Laboratory enables a continuous work-flow process that reduces specimen wait times, ensures accurate and timely electronic reporting of laboratory results and reduces biohazard exposures for Laboratory staff. Synopsis of Requirement: The Core Lab Automated System must have the following components at a minimum: (1) A single Module that allows for loading (input), (2) sorting, (3) off-loading (output), (4) the processing of STAT requests ahead of lower priority samples, (5) two Centrifuge Modules), (6) De-capper Module (7) Re-sealer or Re-capper Module (8) De-sealer or De-capper Module, (9) Samples transported with RFID or bar coded tracking, (10) Refri, 2020 AT 5:00 P.M.
