Description
The United States Air Force has a requirement for a five (5) year firm-fixed price Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), in accordance with FAR 13.303, to procure an estimated 12,000 lbs a month of Type VII blast media and recycle used Type VII blast media.� Type VII blast media is used to strip paint from various airframes and ground support equipment for the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC). Type VII blast media must conform to Military Specifications (Mil-Specs) as directed by Technical Orders within the Qualified Products List (QPL) established and approved by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL).� This acquisition requires the use of Type VII blast media that meets the requirements of Mil-85891A Amendment 2.� This acquisition also requires delivery of Type VII blast media be made within five (5) business days after an order is placed.� This acquisition also requires the contractor pick-up, ship and recycle used Type VII blast media.� In order for a company to recycle used blast media they must have a recycling program that has been approved by Hill AFB Environmental Office.� The only company listed on the QPL that has been approved by the AFRL for meeting the required Mil-Specs for Type VII blast media is Archer Daniels Midland Company.� Archer Daniels Midland Company�s only distributor of Type VII blast media for the region in which Hill Air Force Base (AFB) resides is Midvale Industries, Inc. The only company that has been approved by Hill AFB Environmental Office for a recycling program is Midvale Industries, Inc.� As such, the intended source of Type VII blast media that can also provide recycling of used Type VII blast media is Midvale Industries, Inc. The intended product to be procured is eStrip GPX Type VII starch-g-acrylic blast media.� This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.� However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency.� The capability statement must provide a clear methodology and demonstrate how the following will be met: Type VII blast media will be delivered to Hill AFB, UT within five (5) business days after an order is placed The manufacturer of the Type VII blast media to be delivered meets Mil-85891A Amendment 2, has been approved by the AFRL and is included on the QPL. The company providing Type VII blast media has a recycling program that has been approved by the Hill AFB Environmental Office. Any response must be sent and received by the response date and time of this notice to be reviewed.� There will be an acknowledgement of receipt provided�for all submissions received.
