- This notice is in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), Acquisition Operations Branch, is the contracting office for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to announce an award to Acadian Ambulance Service, Inc, on a sole source bases for a Time and Materials Purchase Order for $199,356.75 for the base period of 90 days with the potential of 3, 90 day option periods. Acadian Ambulance Service, Inc. will provide COVID-19 pre-screening services for the locations of New Orleans, LA, Lafayette, LA and Lake Jackson, TX. The Government attempted to find additional contractors, but due to the urgency of this requirement and to allow BSEE Inspectors to perform mission critical functions, it was determined that Acadian Ambulance Service, Inc. was the only company immediately available to provide services in all three of the locations and be able to deploy in such a quick time frame. In accordance with the FAR the Government will review the requirement and attempt to obtain competition during the base period of the requirement. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all interested sources that believe they can meet future requirements, shall submit a capability statement to the Contracting Office on this notice. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for future purposes to determine if a competitive acquisition can be achieved.
