- Description
- This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to provide a potential requirement. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) conducts and supports basic and applied research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases.� For more than 60 years, NIAID research has led to new therapies, vaccines, diagnostic tests, and other technologies that have improved the health of millions of people in the United States (U.S.) and around the world.� NIAID has a unique mandate, which requires the Institute to respond to emerging public health threats.� Toward this end, NIAID manages a complex and diverse research portfolio that aims to do the following: ����������� Expand the breadth and depth of knowledge in all areas of infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases. ����������� Develop flexible domestic and international research capabilities to appropriately respond to emerging and re- emerging disease threats at home and abroad. To facilitate its efforts, the NIAID has created the Integrated Research Facility (IRF) as a part of the National Interagency Biodefense Campus located at Ft. Detrick, MD.� The NIAID IRF is a specialized biocontainment facility with the appropriate infrastructure to support basic research and animal studies with various infectious disease agents including those requiring the highest level of biocontainment, (BSL-4), to evaluate therapeutics, vaccines and diagnostics as well as natural history and pathogenesis associated with these agents.� The primary focus of the IRF is to manage, coordinate and facilitate the conduct of research with emerging infectious diseases and biodefense pathogens.� The mission outcome is to develop improved medical outcomes for patients and develop medical countermeasures and control strategies for human health. The NIH/NIAID is looking for interested parties that could provide a service/maintenance agreement on Getinge made equipment. Service/Maintenance includes: Quarterly Preventive Maintenance and Inspections, Calibrations, and all Break Fix Callback Parts and Labor In suite preventative maintenance and repair up to and including BLS 4 Containment. Original Equipment Manufacture for any and all repairs and replacements������ Yearly Calibration of Equipment Temperature Sensors, Pressure Transducers, PH and conductivity monitoring probes and controls. (unless otherwise noted) Monday � Friday excluding holidays, 7AM-5PM. Call back response time is within four hours of point of call and same day equipment review when a service rep is in building. QTY 1 Washer (no calibration needed) QTY 2 Cart Washer-Disinfectors (includes all, plus yearly calibration) QTY 13 Sterilizers (includes all, plus yearly calibration) Responses should include: Certificate or Letter from Getinge USA Sales that your company can contract out the Getinge Field Technicians that are BSL-4 certified.
