Description
INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to Research Triangle Institute, Inc.� 3040 Cornwallis Road, Research Triangle Park, NC� 27709 to provide Subject Matter Expert support to advance alignment of PAC interoperability activities with other healthcare settings across the continuum of care. These activities include but are not limited to; mapping and validation of HIT standards to CMS assessment instrument items for inclusion in the CMS del, identification of gaps and proposed policy solutions to advance interoperability and health information exchange by post-acute care and other providers, as well as to align with the IMPACT Act goals toward better care coordination, improved health information exchange and healthcare efficiencies. The sole source award will be made under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 235 ( C ) ( 1 ) as implemented by FAR6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies and Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.� A justification and approval is currently being processed for this requirement. CMS REQUIREMENTS: The purpose of this requirement is to obtain SME support services for strategic planning and thought leadership on how to advance EHR adoption and interoperability in PAC, including alignment of PAC assessment data elements with existing and emerging national health IT standards to support interoperable health information exchange across the continuum of care. l improve the quality of care provided to post-acute care (PAC) beneficiaries. RTI has demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience of the IMPACT Act, PAC QRPs, Health Information technology practices and standards, and CMS operations.��� NAICS CODES: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541611 (Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services). INTERESTED PARTIES: All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. In order to qualify as a potential contractor for this procurement, the organization must provide valid, reliable and standardized health care performance measures to support and advance public accountability, quality improvement efforts, increased patient safety, and value based purchasing. The organization must be able to serve as a national dissemination and implementation conference for health disparities researchers. To be considered, interested vendors must submit technical literature describing their capability to effectively satisfy this requirement, as well as terms and conditions and a complete price quote within 5 days of this notice, to the following electronic mail address: phillip.harrell@cms.hhs.gov.
