Description

The TSL tests and evaluates threat detection systems for deployment at airports and within other transportation infrastructure. This particular request solicits information about available and near term solutions for the test and evaluation (T&E) of advanced machine learning algorithms.� Our current needs deal with explainability methods for safety critical applications, such as: Algorithm structure � Identify �the classes of detection methodology that the proposed submittal falls into and identify its limitations;� Vulnerability identification � Identification and analysis of potential deficiencies in detection performance for algorithms likely to be employed for classification and localization of concealed threats. �We are also interested in identification of adversarial techniques that may be used to elicit incorrect responses from ML algorithms ; and Decision explainability � Methods that provide quantitative or qualitative insight into the features and analysis that drive algorithms to a particular result. � All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in TSL program documentation; therefore, companies should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Other specific information sought includes: Company information, including name, address, phone number, e-mail, point of contact and URL. Whether the company is a manufacturer or 3rd party developer. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the phone number and e-mail address. Product name, model number, brief description, features and specifications.� Cost information, such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information if applicable. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in TSL projects and reports.� Requests for feedback should not be made through the Federal Business Opportunities posting agency. Companies may be contacted following submission for more detailed product information. Company provided information may be reformatted for publication in TSL program documents.� ������ ����������������� Responses to this RFI will be accepted on a rolling bases throughout a 90 calendar day period after the posting date.� Sources will not be reimbursed for providing responses. Responses to this RFI should be no more than 5 typewritten pages. Responses should include name, telephone number, and an E-mail address of a point of contact having the authority and knowledge to discuss responses with the government representatives. RESPONSES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS PROPOSALS, NOR WILL ANY AWARD BE MADE AS A RESULT OF THIS SYNOPSIS.� All information contained in the RFI is preliminary, as well as subject to modification, and is in no way binding on the Government. FAR clause 52.215-3, Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (OCT 1997), is incorporated by reference into this RFI. Proprietary data submitted in response to the RFI will be protected when so designated.
