Description

Procurement of Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) Bed Mill (TRAK DPMRX3 with ProtoTRAK RMX CNC) This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT pursuant to FAR PART 8.405-6(b)(1) Items Peculiar to One Manufacturer. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Tenant Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), 6565 Surveillance Loop, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005 has a requirement to procure one (1) Southwestern Industries brand Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) Bed Mill (TRAK DPMRX3 with ProtoTRAK RMX CNC) and accessories as listed thru GSA Ebuy a mandatory sources of supply for the Government. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to Southwestern Industries Inc, Cage Code 06238 GSA Contract number GS-21F-0110W. This company is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and sole distributor of this product. The company is the only source authorized to provide the required maintenance support and software updates on this proprietary equipment. Posting date of this requirement is 03 April 2020. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 14 April 2020 at 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. This is not a Request for Quote. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government�s intent to award on a sole source basis the required equipment Any questions regarding this notice must be submitted to: rex.m.valdez2.civ@mail.mil by 10 April 2020 TELEPHONE REQUEST CANNOT BE HONORED.
