- In accordance with FAR 5.2, this is a notice that DLA Land at Aberdeen anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Spot-Buy, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Life of Type Contract on or about April 20, 2020 with an estimated contract value of $6,750,000.00. SINCGARS is a family of Very High Frequency-Frequency Modulation (VHF-FM) combat net radios designed to provide the primary means of command and control for combat, combat support, and combat service support units. To enhance the survivability of the communications system, SINCGARS provides a resistance to jamming via Electronic Counter-Countermeasures (ECCM) capability using single channel offset or frequency hopping. The SINCGARS family of radios has the capability to transmit and receive voice and digital data, and is consistent with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Interoperability requirements. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii) all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
