Description
DESCRIPTION: *** THE FULL SOLICITATION ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE:� Electronically in Federal Business Opportunities on or about Apr 9, 2020. *** The US Forest Service, Region 6, Willamette National Forest has a requirement to replace cedar roofing on house and garage at Marion Forks Guard Station located on the Detroit Ranger District. (Marion County, OR Work includes: GENERAL The Detroit Ranger District has a need to replace the roofing on two of it�s facilities.� These facilities are Marion Forks Guard Station and the Marion Forks Garage.� Specific information for each facility is as follows: Description Marion Forks Guard Station and Garage are historical structures.� They were previously used as a guard station.� Today, they are planned to be used as recreational facilities for the public.� The 450 SF guard station and 412 SF garage both have steep sloped roofs, approximately 12:12 pitches, and the roofing material is cedar shakes. Both building, including dormers and porches, have a combined roof area of approximately 1250 SF. �Due to high snow load throughout the winter and weathering, there has been damage to both the roof and chimney. Required Work The Contractor shall re-roof the entire structure in accordance with new cedar shingles in accordance with Division 7 of the Specifications. The Contractor shall repair the damaged portion of the chimney of this structure (the top 3-4 feet, approximately) as identified by the Contracting Officer (CO).� In doing so, the Contractor shall follow Section 049030 of the Specifications. Install a total of 2 fall protection anchors per structure on the ridgeline in locations identified by the CO in accordance with Section 073110 of the Specifications. Location Both Marion Forks Guard Station and Garage can be reached by traveling from Interstate 5, take Exit 253 toward Stayton/Detroit Lake, turn right onto OR-22 E, N Santiam Highway.� Then travel approximately 66 miles on Oregon State Highway 22 to the Marion Forks.� The Marion Forks Guard House and Garage is located within the first drive to the right-hand side prior to crossing the bridge over Marion Creek. The Government�s estimate is under �$25,000.� �Contract performance time of 33 calendar days is estimated to begin June 15, 2020.� The project is 100% set aside for Small Business concerns.� Note: prospective awardee shall be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base prior to award. Information on registration may be obtained via the internet at: �http://www.sam.gov� All contractors and vendors must complete the electronic version of the Representations and Certifications in the SAM system.
