THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE SYNOPSIZING AN UPCOMING COMPETITIVE SOLICITATION SATISFYING THE REQUIREMENTS OF FAR 5.201 AND 5.203 AN REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS WILL BE POSTED ON OR ABOUT APRIL 23, 2020 Fire Department Renovation, Canandaigua VA Medical Center Procurement Number: 36C24220R0034 Project Number: 528A5-17-536 The Canandaigua VA Medical Center (VAMC) will be posting a solicitation to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to perform work under project number 528-A5-17-536 titled Fire Department Renovations. The general scope of this project is to renovate building 16 to provide a fully updated and code compliant fire department facility. The work will include, but not limited to: the removal of existing walls and beams as required to support the desired layout, removal and replacement of ceilings and flooring throughout, hazardous material abatement, upgrades to the building utility distribution systems, civil, structural, electronic security and communications works. This work also includes providing swing space as temporary quarters for firefighter use during construction. The renovated facility will provide three apparatus bays as well as living and working spaces. All work will be accomplished on the Canandaigua VAMC campus as indicated in the specifications and drawings. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $39.5 million. The magnitude of this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. A 20% bid bond will be required and must be submitted with the bid. This project is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses concerns. The POC for this project will be Rachel Beason, Contracting Officer.
