Description

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) contracting activity proposes to procure, without using full and open competition, radiological/nuclear (R/N) detection equipment; PHDS Company�s LoPro High-Purity Germanium (HPGe) Gamma Ray Spectrometers with extended warranties. DTRA requires low-visibility (i.e. easily concealable), High Purity Germanium (HPGe) equipment to assist in the detection and analysis of R/N materials and material precursors. The items and quantities included in this effort are listed below. This effort represents follow-on work. The total estimated cost, including potential options, is ~$3,800,000. Items included are:� LoPro � High-Purity Germanium (HPGe) Gamma Ray Spectrometers (20 base; up to 20 optional) with extended warranties.� See attached Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition. Specification list is also attached for reference.�
