- Description
- The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture is mandated (through the Rural Development Act of 1972, the Soil and Water Resources Conservation Act of 1977, and other supporting legislation) to assess the status, condition, and trends of soil, water, and related resources on the Nation�s non-Federal and Federal lands. Resources inventory legislative authorities, NRCS policy, and responsibilities for conducting the NRI are contained in NRCS General Manual 290, Part 400.� In order to accomplish this task, the NRCS will award one contract that requires the successful contractor to collect grazing land rangeland resources data on selected sample sites (points) for the 2020 National Resources Inventory (NRI), Grazing land Field Study in Montana.�The intent of the Agency is to solicit the most efficient and effective manner to complete the requirements set forth in this document.� To achieve this goal, NRCS reserves the right to make award without negotiations. No questions concerning this solicitation will be responded to after 2:00PM Pacific Time, 07 April, 2020. Proposals are due by 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time, 15 April, 2020 (Attn: Jaime Lapus, �e-mail: jaime.lapus@usda.gov). Proposals may be submitted via email only. Hard copy proposals will not be considered. The Government will award to the responsive and responsible contractor whose proposal meets the requirements of the solicitation, price and other factors considered. The Government intends to award one five (5) year single-award IDIQ contract, with an ordering period estimated to commence on or about April 20, 2020.
