Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition will be made in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 �Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and solicitation for commercial Items,� as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (a written solicitation will not be issued) and quotes are being requested. The Solicitation number is RFQ-NIAID-2016693 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2020-05, Effective 03/30/2020.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $20.5 million. This requirement is NOT set-aside for small business. Background: The NIAID Flow Cytometry Section of the Research Technologies Branch, NIAID, NIH, provides state-of-the-art flow cytometric sorting and analysis services to Division of Intramural Research (DIR) scientists through the maintenance of a core flow cytometric facility which provides scientists with access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and a core of highly skilled personnel knowledgeable in all aspects of flow cytometry; provides guidance to scientists in experimental design and; provides a quarterly course in flow cytometry basics and the use of the FACScan flow cytometer.?? Description of the Requirement: The Flow Cytometry Section (FCS) is seeking to procure a maintenance agreement of a BASE + 2 Option Years, on their equipment, Amnis�ImageStream�Mk II Imaging Flow Cytometer.� The Flow Cytometry Section�s provides flow cytometric analysis, including bead assays for the Intramural program, NIAID, NIH. To assure its optimal performance and reliability it requires maintenance by specially trained and experienced service engineers.� See attachment for equipment and serial numbers. This machine needs to be in optimal operating order to perform continuing experiments related to the mission of the research laboratories in the Research Technologies Branch.� Equipment:� � ImageStream MKII ,�Serial Number: ISX317 Place of Performance: FCS, Research Technologies Branch, Bio-Safety Level 4 Facility, Bethesda, MD� 20892 Period of Performance: Base: 04/24/2020-04/23/2021 Option Year 1: 04/24/2021-04/23/2022 Option Year 2: 04/24/2022-04/23/2023 *Please include your DUNS number *Include response to FAR 52.204-26�attachment and return with quote Submission shall be received not later than 1:00 p.m. EST, April 23, 2020.
