- Description
- Question 1: After reviewing the solicitation, a question has come up. The specifications for the Invacare MA800 which is listed as the ""like product"" are different than the specifications listed on the solicitation. For instance, the height of the MA800 is listed as 10 inches with a weight capacity of 600lbs. The solicitation specifications calls for a 7 inch height with a 300lb weight capacity. In another case, the length of the mattress is listed at 80 inches while the bid specs are listed as 84 inches. These are two different mattress systems and we want to make sure we have the correct information so that we can properly bid on this solicitation. Any clarification is greatly appreciated? Gov t Response 1: After speaking with the customer, it has come to my attention that the dimensions listed in the solicitation are incorrect. I apologize for any inconvenience. The current dimensions of 84 L X 36 W X 7 H are hereby changed to 80 L x 36 W x 10 H. The current weight capacity of greater than 300lbs. is hereby changed to 600lbs. Question 2: Section 2.0 states, ""The Contractor shall be required to be responsible for timely delivery, installation, and training to ensure the successful completion of the tasks as outlined in this Statement of Work."" Once the air mattresses are shipped out, will the contractor also need to be present at the delivery location to install all 40 air mattresses? Gov t Response 2: No, the mattresses are to be shipped/delivered to Performance Medical Solutions. Nothing else is required. Question 3: The ship to is not the Durham VAMC, but Performance Medical Solutions. And the 1449 states, ""The Contractor shall be required to furnish all items, to include but not limited to, project management, labor, equipment, materials, travel and any incidentals required to satisfy the requirements of this Statement of Work."" Are we, the contractor, responsible for delivering the mattresses to veteran's homes and servicing, or, are the mattresses merely to be shipped/delivered to Performance Medical Solutions? Gov t Response 3: No, the mattresses are to be shipped/delivered to Performance Medical Solutions. Nothing else is required.
