- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future.� This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever.� Further, the Department of Veterans Affairs is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals.� Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party s expense.� Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued.� The Government is seeking SDVOB vendors who can perform according to the described scope below. Scope The following will be performed for 50 Ceiling Lifts (Arjo) Contractor shall provide two inspections a year (March/September) consisting of full operational functions of the lift IAW manufacturer requirements to include the end stops for security and full range of motion. Contractor shall perform a yearly weight testing of all patient lifts IAW manufacturer specifications and provide a full report of the inspection with certification of the testing one as a paper copy and one on CD\DVD. Contractor shall provide a full report of any deficiencies found to the COR listing the Ceiling lift, location and issue with the lift. Lifts are located in the following Central Texas areas: Waco 4800 Veterans Memorial Drive Austin 7901 Metropolises Drive Killeen 3401 Kadence Court Temple 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive Cedar Park 1401 Medical Park Way Performance Requirements Contractor shall be insured for the work being performed. Contractor shall provide written proof of training for the installation, inspection and repair of ceiling lifts identified within the Scope. Contractor shall be required to work around patient care issues as not to impede care to patients. Contractor shall meet all OSHA standards for the type of work they are performing and comply with all VA requirements as outlined for working in the hospital environment the main points are listed below: Vendor shall not leave tools or equipment unattended. Vendor shall follow posted personal protective outer garments to prevent cross contamination. (VA-supplied garments) Vendor shall coordinate with the COR and Nursing to ensure no patient impact. Vendor shall schedule all inspections with the COR and provide an estimated timeline for the inspection. Deliverables Contractor shall provide an inspection report listing the location, EE# on the lift and current status of the operational state of the ceiling lift. Contractor shall provide a paper and an electronic copy (CD or DVD) of lift certification. Contractor shall provide proof of training for the repair and weight testing of the ceiling lifts.
