- The Department of Veterans Affairs Networking Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement to Eastern Virginia Medical School for Standardized Patient and Gynecologic Teaching Associate Training for Primary Care Mini Residency Program. The program will include but not limited to: training primary care providers and nurses in women s healthcare, simulated patient encounters will be facilitated by Gynecologic Teaching Associates (GTAs) who consent to have pelvic and/or breast exams performed on them by training participants (GTAs acts as Patient and instructor utilizing their bodies as teaching tools), and hands-on experience via Simulated Patient (SP) encounters- each SP will portray a patient role and offer feedback on communication skills. Service location: Central Virginia VA Healthcare System, Hunter Holmes McGuire (Richmond) VA Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23249. Determination of this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)-Soliciting from a single source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, interested parties may identify their interest by submitting supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses received from responsible sources by 4:30 pm e.s.t. on April 21, 2020 will be considered by the Government. Inquiries shall be emailed to Cherisse.Hall@va.gov. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
