- Description
- The WHPE PMO of the USAMMDA has a requirement to procure three Amazon Government Cloud (Virtual Private Cloud) hosting sites: a Production, Pre-production Staging, and Development� This will include the migration of current Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratories �(MIT LL) Amazon Web Service (AWS) (WEST REGION) account to Army (WEST REGION).� The stated Co-AMP Cloud website will act as a Software Management Repository for Mobile Applications and will require a retention period of 5 years to store all of the Mobile Applications. Additionally the Co-AMP Cloud Website will be accessed frequently (2 -3 times a week for Production and Pre-production and daily for Development). All three Amazon Government Cloud hosting sites need to follow the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) guidelines to keep the SaaS environment fully patched against known vulnerabilities.� The FedRAMP is a US government-wide program that delivers a standard approach to the security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. FedRAMP grants authorizations to Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) at three impact levels: low, moderate, and high. These levels refer to the intensity of a potential impact that may occur if an information system is jeopardized. Impact Level 2 is defined as Public or Non-Critical Mission Information and would require the pre-authorized FEDRAMP Moderate security posture. The Production (10GB) Site will have the following Webserver architectural components consisting of the following: Apache2: Webserver Apache2 is to be installed. Passenger: Install Application webserver Passenger which runs ruby on rails (ROR) application. JRuby: Install JRuby an open source implementation of the Ruby programming language atop the Java Virtual Machine, written largely in Java. This is to run Ruby on rails application code. Redmine is a free and open source, web-based project management and issue tracking tool. ElasticSearch: Elasticsearch is a search engine based on the Lucene library. It provides a distributed, multitenant-capable full-text search engine Postgres Database ClamdAV Virus Scan: Clam AntiVirus is a free software, cross-platform and open-source antivirus software toolkit able to detect many types of malicious software, including viruses. FedRAMP Compliant The PRE-Production Staging (15GB) Site will have the following Webserver architectural components consisting of the following: Apache2: Webserver Apache2 is to be installed.
